Is iOS 26 / iPadOS 26 supported?

At the time of writing this article, iOS / iPadOS 26 is scheduled to be released mid-September 2025. We do support 26 (see caveat below for iPad 8th/9th gen). We do not support any beta builds or release candidate (RC) builds - you must wait until the release.

However, because of previous compatibility issues with initial major iOS updates in the past, we do not recommend updating to the initial release, 26.0. We recommend waiting until a later point-release like 26.2.0. We'll update this article when we know more.

Important note for iPad 8th gen and iPad 9th gen owners: we will not support iOS 26 on these iPads. If you have one of these iPads and want to use it with Booth.Events, you must not update to iOS 26. These iPads only have 3GB of RAM, and iOS takes up most of this - there isn't enough RAM left for a demanding application like Booth.Events.

Only "Full Screen Apps" Mode is supported on iOS 26

In iOS 26 there are 3 options available under "Multitasking & Gestures": "Full Screen Apps", "Windowed Apps", and "Stage Manager". You are also prompted whether you want to use Windowed Apps mode during the update to iOS 26.

Booth.Events only supports "Full Screen Apps" mode. Do not use the other modes on iPads running our app.

To change it, go to Settings App -> Multitasking & Gestures, and choose Full Screen Apps, as shown in this image:
