How to: set Capture Types per Template
Sometimes you’ll want a template to only be used with a specific media type. For example, a video template shouldn’t accidentally get used for photos. With Booth.Events, you can now restrict which capture types are available for each template which gives you more control and fewer mistakes.
By default, every new template has all capture types enabled. You can narrow them down anytime with just a few clicks.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Log in to your Booth.Events web dashboard.
- From the left-hand menu (or inside your event), select Templates.
- Choose an existing template, or create a new one.
- In the top-right corner, click Settings.
- Go to the Advanced tab.
- Toggle the capture types (Photo, Video, GIF, etc.) you want this template to allow.
That’s it! Your changes take effect immediately - even if your event is already live.
If you have an event capture type with no assigned templates Booth.Events will generate a default basic template to allow guests to still at least capture something.
