Printer Settings in the App

Have you connected your iPad and printer together, and added your printer(s) in the app? If not, please start here: Connecting your Printer.

This video shows you how to add your printers in Booth.Events

Printer Settings

One printer "DS40 (4x6)" added to the app

After you add a printer, if you touch the printer row (or the settings/cog icon) it opens the settings for that printer:

Printer settings showing that the "4x3" template will not print to this printer, and the "Booth.Events 4x6" template will print to this printer.

Insets

At the top you can see the inset settings. To learn why you would use, see our help article: Fixing printed photos being cut off or having a white line on the side

Template Mappings: Configuring which templates print where

At the bottom you can see a list of each template assigned to this event.

If you tap a template, it will toggle between being selected (will print to this printer), or unselected (it will not print to this printer).

If you toggle the "print doubled..." switch, you'll see that the template will be printed "doubled" along its short side. Use this when your printer is cutting and expects the image twice, but you've set the template up with the image once (because that looks better in the digital copies).

A couple of advanced notes:

  • if you don't want a template to be printed, for example because it is a size that does not print, then make sure no printers have that template selected
  • if you add multiple printers and have the same template(s) selected on each printer, then that template will be printed round-robin to each selected printer
