GoPro Support

Booth.Events supports GoPros!

Written by Shane McLoughlin

GoPro Requirements

Booth.events supports GoPro Black Series 9 and newer. Your GoPro must be on the latest firmware before connecting. The connection flow is the same as a USB camera.

Wirelessly connect (Beta)

To connect your GoPro wirelessly, you must first enable Connect over WiFi to Cameras in your Advanced Capture Settings

You can find this in advanced capture settings.

  1. Tap on your event on the iOS app Dashboard

  2. Tap on your Capture settings.

  3. Scroll down to Advanced Capture Settings

  4. Scroll to the bottom and flip the toggle to enabled.

Note: When connected over WiFi, the GoPro will take over your network connection. This may affect printing or other network-dependent features. Plan accordingly when setting up your event.

Troubleshooting:

GoPro in an unusable state

Power the device off and remove the battery. This ensures a full power cycle and returns the camera to a known good state

Live view

The first time you connect your GoPro, it'll default to only showing live view during countdown. That means on the home screen, the screen won't show live view. This default is for heat reasons, as GoPro cameras get quite hot. To change this, on the middle page of event settings you can see the live view setting - change "During Countdown" to "On".

GoPro output rotated wrong?

If your videos or photos are rotated the wrong way, please check this GoPro setting to make sure you have not locked rotation: https://community.gopro.com/s/article/What-is-auto-image-rotation?language=en_US
