Want your event photos landing straight in the cloud storage account you already use? Connect Dropbox, Google Drive, or SmugMug to your Booth.Events account and every capture uploads automatically - no manual exporting, no waiting until after the event to back everything up. It's available on Pro+ memberships.
Head to your account's Sharing settings to connect a cloud storage provider. You can link Dropbox, Google Drive, and/or SmugMug — you're not limited to just one.
Each provider works a little differently:
Choose a default folder in your Dropbox, and Booth.Events takes it from there — a new folder is created for each event, with sub-folders inside for each media type. You'll need to log in and authorize Booth.Events to access your Dropbox before it can start uploading.
Log in to your Google account and choose a folder. Like Dropbox, Booth.Events creates an event-specific folder inside it for each event, and splits media into sub-folders by type.
Choose a folder, and once captures start uploading, Booth.Events creates a gallery inside it named after the event. Unlike Dropbox and Google Drive, SmugMug does not split media into separate folders by type - everything lands in one event gallery. You can override which gallery a specific event uploads to at the event level if needed.
Customizing where a specific event uploads
Once you've connected a provider, you can set an account-wide default, but you're not locked into it - open an event's Storage tab to change or filter which connected cloud destination(s) that event uploads to.This is helpful if you are using multiple events for the same booth experience. You can manually select the same folder for each event to upload to, creating one folder to send to the client.
Alternatively if you are using another photobooth tool (like mosaic) that utilizes a watch folder for media, you can manually select that folder at an event level for that other tool to utilize.
No matter which cloud storage you've connected, every capture also uploads to Shared.Gallery - connecting a third-party provider adds another copy of your media, it doesn't replace Shared.Gallery.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Captures made while offline, or made before you'd connected/enabled cloud storage, aren't lost — they'll push to your connected cloud storage once you're back online (or once the connection is set up).
Known Limitations
- If you delete an event from Booth.Events, media already uploaded to your connected cloud storage is not deleted with it — it stays where it landed.
- Some providers may require you to be on a paid plan with them once you store enough media — check your own Dropbox, Google Drive, or SmugMug account for their storage limits.
- This feature is available on Pro+ memberships. If you cancel your Pro+ the cloud storage integration will stop uploading but will be available if you subscribe again.
