Installing the App

Determine if your Mac is Apple Silicon or Intel

If you're not sure, please see this Apple help article to determine if your Mac has Apple Silicon or Intel.

Macs with Apple Silicon

Install from the Mac App Store.

macOS is supported from version 1.42.0 (released January 12, 2025). If you are seeing an older version in the App Store please try rebooting your Mac.

Macs with Intel

Download the macOS app with Intel support here.

Please note these Intel-specific restrictions:

• You cannot use "Sign in with Apple" when using this downloadable version
• Compared to the App Store version this downloadable version may be behind in features and/or updates
• We may stop supporting Intel-based Macs in the future as they are no longer being sold

Important Notes & Restrictions on macOS

Please make sure you read through these before using Booth.Events on your Mac at an event.

• To scroll (example: event settings), do it the same way you scroll in your web-browser (example: two fingers on trackpad)
• To exit the event, click and hold
• There is no support for built-in cameras on Macbook, iMac etc: you must connect a Canon/Nikon/Sony camera
• Printing is always foreground via macOS - there is no ability to add a printer, which means you cannot have multiple printers, map templates to prints, or configure printer settings like printer insets
